Court wont hold Dont ask, dont tell lawsuit – U.S. news – msnbc.com

The U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals – decided recently that the lower courts decision to uphold the ban on “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” as unconstitutional will continue – in spite of efforts by the U.S. Gov’t to have the decision to put the decision on hold.  The President of the U.S. and the Pentagon are however, proceeding with training, and certification, to enact the Congressionally mandated process of allowing service members to serve openly.  However, the Log Cabin Republicans – who brought the suit, are concerned with the idea that service members (of the military) are still being discharged, until the Congressional madate takes effect, and is certified and takes full effect.
